What documents do I need to enter Dominican Republic?

- e-Ticket
- Tickets to and from the Dominican Republic (nationals and residents of the DR are exempt from this)
- Proof of funds to cover the trip
Additionally, most travelers will need to pay a tourist fee of 10 USD/9 EUR, regardless of the transportation method employed. There are some exceptions:
- Citizens, permanent residents or holders of visas of the DR
- Diplomats
- Citizens of Argentina, Chile, Japan, South Korea and Uruguay
- Passengers arriving in a small private aircraft
This is usually charged when you buy a ticket to the Dominican Republic from abroad. If you fit the exceptions mentioned above and you have been charged the tourist fee, you are allowed to request a refund.
Lastly, you should know that passengers traveling from Equatorial Guinea are forbidden from entering the Dominican Republic. If you visited or transited through this country after February 8th, 2023, you will not be allowed to enter the Dominican Republic. The reason is a sanitary alert declared in Equatorial Guinea for the Marburg virus.
