Egypt Visa Online: More information
The only nationalities exempted from applying for a visa to travel to Egypt are Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. All other nationalities must apply for a visa to travel to Egypt, regardless of the reason for their visit.
If you are a citizen of one of the countries selected to apply for a visa online, you can apply for an Egypt eVisa instead of going to the embassy.
The Egypt eVisa is valid for 90 days from the day it is issued, and allows you to stay for a maximum of 30 days in the country. You can apply for a single or multiple entry visa.
You cannot work, study, or reside in the country with a tourist visa, but you can have business meetings, or visit family members.
Having an approved visa does not guarantee entry to the country. If you have lied or omitted information that may be relevant to, or create a threat to, the country, the commanding officers of the immigration department may deny entry. You should never lie about your information, and you should check your details thoroughly before submitting a visa application.
