You cannot work, study, or reside in the country with a tourist visa, but you can have business meetings, or visit family members.
Having an approved visa does not guarantee entry to the country. If you have lied or omitted information that may be relevant to, or create a threat to, the country, the commanding officers of the immigration department may deny entry. You should never lie about your information, and you should check your details thoroughly before submitting a visa application.
