Yes, most nationalities need a visa for Sri Lanka. Fortunately, a lot of travelers will be able to get the online visa for Sri Lanka or Sri Lanka e Visa. An ETA and an eVisa are essentially travel permits that can be obtained online with Visagov. They will allow eligible nationalities to enter Sri Lanka without needing a traditional visa if they are travelling as tourists.

The Sri Lanka visitor visa (6-month tourist eVisa) lasts for up to 6 months. During those months, the Sri Lanka tourist visa allows two entries for a maximum of 60 days each.
